On Monday 27 June 2022, EU Debate Student Club on the topic of “How different is student life in Europe and Japan?” was held online.

Having checked the statistics on how the Japanese and European students spend their daily lives, five participating students began a very active debate in which they shared their own experiences with both extracurricular activities and volunteering work. Professor Keith Jackson (Kwansei Gakuin University) who also took part in the debate noted that while previously the British university students used to move away from their home towns to study, nowadays many students face financial difficulties and thus cannot live away from their homes. Participants also discussed their plans to study abroad (in the UK, USA, Germany) and their favorite hobbies, such as reading.
