EU Debate Club "Should all EU countries increase their defence spending?" will be held!

EU countries plan to increase their defence spending for several reasons.

Besides the unstable situation in Ukraine and the threat of further terrorist attacks, NATO requests all its members to spend at least 2% of their GDP on military. However, just a few NATO members reach the 2% target and not all EU countries are NATO members.

Do you agree that all EU countries should increase their defence spending? Or do you think that the EU should rather focus on supporting the unstable world regions through development aid and humanitarian efforts?
