Mini Symposium for High School Students was held on 21 July

On Thursday 21 July 2016, Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence organised a Mini Symposium for high school students at the Kobe University Secondary School.
The Mini Symposium consisted of two lectures. First one was given by Prof. Kazunari SAKAI (Graduate School of Intercultural Studies, Kobe University) and entitled "Migration Issues in the EU" and the second one by Professor Katsuhiko TOMITA (Office of Strategic Research Management, Institute of Promoting Academic Research Programs, Kobe University) was entitled "Introduction to Smart City Initiatives of Europe, Kobe City and Kobe University". The event was attended by more than 75 students of the school.
Kobe University Secondary School is selected as a SGH (Super Global High School) and these lectures addressed some of the SGH research themes. Thanks to such topic choice, students actively listened to the lectures and asked speakers many relevant questions.
Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence of Kobe University will regularly organise mini symposia for high school students.
