Kobe University Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence the Second Workshop for Journalists was held on 2nd December
On Friday 2 December 2016, Jean Monnet CoE of Kobe University organised the Second Workshop for Journalists. Two lectures for journalists of Kansai region were given by Prof.Shinya Ouchi (Graduate School of Law, Kobe University) and Prof. Masahiko Yoshii (Graduate School of Economics, Kobe University). Prof. Ouchi in his lecture demonstrated some precedents of "equal pay for equal work" and explained why this would be a mistaken policy in Japan compared to the EU case. Prof. Yoshii outlined the EU's economic responses to crises, implications of Brexit and recent trends in other EU member states. Lectures were followed by an active discussion and exchange of opinions between the journalists and the two professors. Jean Monnet CoE will continue to hold workshops for Journalists regularly.
