EU lecture for high school teachers "The possibility of collaboration between high schools and universities to cultivate globally competent graduates." was held on 23 January 2018

On Tuesday 23 January 2018, our Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence organised a lecture for high school teachers entitled "The possibility of collaboration between high schools and universities to cultivate globally competent graduates."

Associate Professor Hiro Takagi (Center for International Education, Kobe University) explained how education programmes have been focusing on raising globally competent human resources, and he also illustrated how enhanced cooperation between high schools and universities in Japan and Europe promoted innovative and internationalized curricula. Participants and lecturer then discussed other efforts needed to ensure that high schools and universities effectively cooperate in internationalizing the Japanese education so that the next generation can better acquire global skills.

The lecture, which was attended by 15 English language teachers from high schools in Hyogo prefecture, received a very positive feedback. Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence of Kobe University will regularly organise lectures for high school teachers.
