Academic English Intensive Course Spring 2020 was held (12-18 Feb)

Twenty students, including the first year undergraduates who will start the KUPES programme this April, participated in the Academic English Intensive Course that was held at the Frontier Hall for Social Sciences of Kobe Univ. from 12th to 18th of February.

The academic English course was taught by four native English instructors who have taught English at Japanese universities. One of the aims of the course was to acquire academic English skills which are necessary for the KUPES courses taught in English and for programmes to be offered in partner universities where the students will study as exchange students. Another was to prepare for IELTS exam which is required for the application of their study abroad.

Positive feedback was heard from the students, such as: “I could learn listening, speaking, reading, and writing skill in well balance”, “ All lessons were easy to understand and teachers were so friendly. In addition, the atmosphere was good”, and “I was motivated to improve my English skill” Thus, the English course enhanced students’ motivation to learn as a KUPES student from the new academic year.
