The 4th completion ceremony of Kobe University Programme for European Studies (KUPES) was held on 23 March 2020. Three students, one postgraduate (Economics) and two undergraduates (Intercultural Studies and Law) received a certificate of completion of the KUPES. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the ceremony was once at risk of cancellation but was eventually performed and a half of the six students who completed the programme attended.

After certificates were handed over to each student, they addressed their speeches individually. In the presentations, the postgraduate stated that it was hard to obtain the double degrees; however, she managed to overcome the obstacles. One undergraduate asserted that he would like to use his learning experience through the KUPES and act as a bridge between Japan and the EU in the future. The other expressed how well he was supported by the coordinator and the professors, and he deepened his studies with the members of KUPES. Overall, the graduates were strongly satisfied with the KUPES and they gained great experience helping each other through the programme.

At the end of the ceremony, the faculty members celebrated the completion and the graduates were expected to succeed in their future careers progressively.
