Global English Course -GEC-
Developing exception foreign language skills (especially English language skills)
GEC course is offered to 1st year students of the target faculties. Out of the students who wish to participate in this course, students who have secured top ranking on the basis of pre-assessment test score in external English language examination (TOEIC or TOEFL) are selected for this course. Classes are mostly conducted by native teachers with small number of students in the class.
Course is divided into PSA class (Pre-Study Abroad) and GEM class (Global English Mastery) depending on whether the student participates or not in the overseas short-term language training (Advanced English C unit credit) conducted in summer.
GEM class
In GEM class, although students do not participate in training, through PSA based curriculum, they enhance the required skills in preparation for overseas education and working in the global environment in future.
PSA class
In PSA class, conference model is used, and pre-overseas education classes ⇒ short-term overseas education ⇒ post overseas education classes are conducted in the seamless and organically related manner.
Students who have completed GEC course and who have earned the units of required subjects are conferred with the course completion certificate, and students achieving outstanding performance in certain subjects including optional subjects are conferred with GEC certificate.

In order to acquire deep knowledge and foresight required from global professionals, the following 45 subjects of “Basic Liberal Arts Course” and “Integrated Liberal Arts Course” Common Education Course and designated as "Global Liberal Studies Program”.

Specialized Global Education Subject
In specialized education, we conduct classes in foreign languages such as English for nurturing high level of expertise
By mutually completing the education programs leveraging the characteristics of the respective faculty where classes are conducted in foreign languages (mainly English), "Specialized Global Education Subject" are offered for the purpose of nurturing professional expertise.
With regard to completion of Specialized Global Education Subject, basically mutual completion between faculties is used. However, considering specialty of the course subject, there are subjects where the intake is fixed and that are outside the scope of mutual completion. Besides, please note that there are subjects with the set criteria of foreign language skills.
