What is the Project for Global Human Resource Development?

It is a funding project under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology that promotes the globalization of higher education in order to overcome the “inward tendency” of the youth generation and to provide the basis for the improvement of international industrial competitiveness and the enforcement of the ties between nations by fostering the “human resources” that can positively meet the challenges and succeed in the global field. It offers intensive support to such projects at national, prefectural, municipal, and private universities.

At Kobe University, the initiatives on human resource development at six faculties, led by the Faculty of Intercultural Studies and joined by the Faculty of Letters, Faculty of Human Development, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Economics, and School of Business Administration, have been selected as the “faculty/school-specific” of the FY2012 project.
