International Five-year Economics Education Program -IFEEK-

For highly driven students who aim to become global professionals equipped with high level of expertise and language skills that they can use at the global level, Graduate School of Economics, Faculty of Economics setup an educational program for a small group of elite students with the intake of about 20 students. This is International Five-year Economics Education Program at Kobe (abbreviated as IFEEK).
When working overseas as an employee of a company or a public institution, there are several occasions of working with people who have earned masters or higher degrees. For working with such people on an equal basis, it is necessary to have commensurate knowledge and learning. At IFEEK, the goal is to earn bachelor and master degrees in minimum 5 years while experience exchange overseas education at an overseas affiliate school for six months to one year. For achieving this, students equip themselves with the skills required for learning economics at an overseas university through special classes and language education subjects exclusively designed for students of IFEEK, special subjects of economics taught in English, and short-term overseas English training. Besides, students participate in coaching sessions for writing graduation thesis or master thesis. However, students need not worry because they can avail remote guidance of the instructing faculty even during overseas education. In this manner, by going through integrated and intensive small group learning at the faculty, overseas education, and graduate school, it is possible to nurture global professionals in a short period of 5 years.
